This shallow diving ‘Deviant’ is a smaller and lighter version of the deep diver and has been designed to be fished in much shallower water!
Best worked with a slow retrieve - simply cast it out, count it down to the required depth and then crank it back in on a steady retrieve to create a slight sidewards rocking motion that coupled along with an enticing rippling action created by the tail will trigger takes in depths ranging between one and five metres of water. Alternatively, this lure can also prove devastating when trolled slowly behind the boat, especially on the big trout waters………. Weighing 83 grams, it has been designed to be fished on heavy spinning gear or a medium jerkbait rod like the Reflex equipped with a 50lb or 65lb braid.
